UPDATE: Two People Stabbed in Charleston; Suspect Arrested

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman from Charleston has been arrested after investigators say she stabbed her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend.

Investigators say Kerry Harvey went to the home of Gary Turpin early Wednesday morning. Police tell WSAZ.com that Harvey and Turpin had children together and was upset they were with Turpin and Alice Early at the home.

After arriving at the residence, police say Harvey stabbed Turpin in the chest and Early in the back. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

As of 7:30 a.m., Turpin is in fair condition at CAMC General. Early is listed in satisfactory condition.

Harvey has been charged with attempted murder and malicious wounding. She is at the South Central Regional Jail and is expected to be arraigned on the charges early Wednesday morning.

Police have the children in their custody and are waiting for a representative from Child Protective Services.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people have been taken to the hospital after being stabbed in Charleston.

A Metro dispatcher said the call came in at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday that there was a stabbing at 916 Rugby Street.

The name of the people and their conditions haven't been released.

The dispatcher told WSAZ.com that there is no suspect at this time.
