Charleston Police Cruiser Involved in Crash on Corridor G

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Charleston police officer was involved in an accident, Friday afternoon.

It happened about 1 p.m. at the intersection of Corridor G and the Interstate 64 on-ramp.

Police say the officer was heading south when the driver of a Rent-A-Center van pulled out in front of him, resulting in a collision.

The officer and his K-9 were not hurt.

One person in the van was taken to the hospital.

There's no word on that person's condition.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident involving a Charleston police cruiser on Corridor G.

It happened at the intersection of Oakwood Road about 1:00 p.m. Friday.

Dispatchers say the cruiser and another car collided in a T-bone style crash.

No word on if anyone has been hurt.
