CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman is dead after she was hit by a truck in Kanawha City.
Police say Joyce Kindle was filling up her car at the 7-Eleven in the 3900 block of MacCorkle Avenue about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Kindle was getting ready to leave, she noticed she left her gas cap cover open. She got out to close it, when the driver of a truck sideswiped her.
Police say Kindle was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Kindle was 75-years-old and from Charleston.
Police say the woman was filling up her car at the 7-Eleven in the 3900-block of MacCorkle Avenue about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
When the woman was getting ready to leave, she noticed she left her gas door on her car open. She got out to close it, when the driver of a truck sideswiped her.
The woman was taken to the hospital.
Dispatchers say the accident happened about 11:20 a.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of MacCorkle Avenue.
Dispatchers say the woman was knocked to the ground by the impact.
We do not know how badly the woman was hurt.
