UPDATE: Interstate 77 North Reopens at I-79 Split

UPDATE 2/1/13 @ 3:25 a.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Metro 911 in Kanawha County says Interstate 77 North has reopened at the Charleston split with I-79.

Dispatchers advise the roads are hazardous because of ice and snow. Drivers are still advised to use extreme caution and avoid road travel if possible.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Interstate 77 North is shutdown in Charleston at the split with I-79, according to Metro 911 dispatchers.

A tractor-trailer overturned on I-77 near Sissonville. There were no injuries. It is unclear if the road is shutdown because of the accident or slick driving conditions.

Metro 911 dispatch is urging motorists to use extreme caution and avoid road travel if possible due to ice and snow on the roads.
