Crash on I-64 Near Institute, W.Va. Causes Traffic Problems

UPDATE 3/27/12 @ 6:25 a.m.
INSTITUTE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department says one eastbound lane is now open at the Institute exit.

A crash involving four vehicles shut down all eastbound lanes at 5:22 a.m. Tuesday.

It happened at the 49 mile marker.

One person was taken to the hospital.

INSTITUTE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Metro 911 dispatcher says all eastbound lanes of I-64 are shut down.

A vehicle crashed at 5:22 a.m. Tuesday at the 49 mile marker.

No word yet on whether anyone is injured or how many vehicles are involved in the accident.

Metro 911 says the fast and middle lanes are shut down and that emergency crews are just getting to the scene.

No word yet on whether anyone is injured or how many vehicles are involved in the accident.
