JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police have released the name of the woman involved in fatal accident along Interstate 77 Friday.
Deputies tell WSAZ.com that Carol Straight was driving southbound when she ran off the road onto the berm, swerved and lost control of her car.
She then crossed over several lanes of traffic and the median before striking the northbound guard rail.
Straight, who is in her sixties, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to deputies.
Police say the accident happened about 4 p.m. Friday and only involved her 2002 Ford Explorer.

Deputies say the woman was traveling southbound when she ran off the road onto the berm, lost control and then crossed over several lanes of traffic. She crossed the median and then stuck the northbound guardrail.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies say her 2002 Ford Explorer was the only vehicle involved.
Her name has not yet been released, out of respect for the family.
