UPDATE 2/28/12 @ 2:20 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A late night shooting in Charleston appears to be drug-related.

Charleston Police say Gabrielle Gonzales was shot twice in the head at a home on 4th Avenue just before 10 p.m. Monday.

Police say they believe the shooting happened during a robbery attempt. Gonzales, of New York City, was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition.

Investigators say they found a large amount of cash and drugs in the house and they believe that is what fueled this crime.

"Somebody in that house was dealing drugs, whether it be him or somebody else," Sergeant Bobby Eggleton said.

Right now, police do not have any suspects in the case.

If you have any information, you're urged to call the Charleston Police Department.
