CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Deputies say they have arrested a man after firing shots from an apartment toward some neighboring homes in the Cross Lanes area.
Deputies were called to the Village Hill Apartments in Cross Lanes around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies say Ashley Shelton, fired some shots at some neighboring homes from his apartment.
The Kanawha County SWAT Team evacuated the apartments near Shelton's unit.
Negotiators tried to talk with Shelton, but didn't get any response. The SWAT team then forced their way inside and arrested Shelton without incident.
Shelton has been charged with three counts of Wanton Endangerment and is in the South Central Regional Jail.
Kanawha County 911 Dispatchers say someone was firing a handgun out of a window at the complex.
It happened just after midnight at the apartments in the 5400 block of Big Tyler Road.
No one was hurt and the incident did not result in any evacuations.
Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies tell WSAZ.com a man was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment.
