Truck Hit by Train in Nitro

NITRO, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews responded to an accident involving a truck and train in Nitro.

The truck was hit at the railroad crossing on Kanawha Avenue South just before 1 p.m. Thursday.

Police tell WSAZ.com the truck was hauling a car to a nearby recycling center when it was hit.

The passenger in the truck has been taken to the hospital as a precaution. She's expected to be okay.
