UPDATE: Two-Year-Old Falls from Third Floor Window, Condition Improving

TEAYS VALLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The toddler who fell from a third story window is improving and could be released from the hospital Thursday.

The accident happened about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sable Point Apartment Complex in Teays Valley.

Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies tell WSAZ.com the two-year-old fell out of an open window.

The boy was in stable condition Wednesday night at Women and Children's Hospital in Charleston. Since then, deputies say he has improved and is expected to be okay.

Deputies say it appears to be just a tragic accident, and the boy's parents had opened the windows just to let some fresh air into the apartment.

The boy is expected to be released from the hospital on Thursday.

TEAYS VALLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The 2-year-old boy who fell from a third floor window at a Teays Valley apartment complex was listed in stable condition Wednesday night at Women and Children's Hospital in Charleston.

The accident happened about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sable Point Apartment Complex.

The boy, who has special needs, fell out of an open window, Putnam County Sheriff's deputies say.

Deputies say it appears to be just a tragic accident, and the boy's parents had opened the windows just to let some fresh air into the apartment.

TEAYS VALLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A toddler has been rushed to the hospital after falling out of a third story window.

The accident happened at the Sable Point Apartment Complex in Teays Valley about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies say the child has been taken to Women and Children's Hospital in Charleston with serious injuries.

Deputies tell WSAZ.com at this point it seems this incident was just at terrible accident.

TEAYS VALLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident where a two-year-old has fallen out of a window.

It happened about 4:25 on Wednesday afternoon at the Sable Point Apartment Complex in Teays Valley.

911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the child fell out of a second or third story window.

The child has been taken to the hospital.
