PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A boil water advisory for 300 West Virginia American Water customers in Putnam County has been lifted.
The advisory was issued Sunday for customers in Red House and Putnam Union after a water main break.
The affected customers were at sections of Rt. 34, Grandview Ridge
Road, Lone Oak Road, Wilkie Road and Antioch Road.
The line has been fixed and tests confirmed that water quality meets drinking standards.
Officials say this also includes Route 34 from Round Knob Road to Confidence Elementary School, Grandview Ridge Road from Route 34 to Steele Ridge Road, Lone Oak Road, Wilkie Road, and Antioch Road.
Once restored, customers should boil their water a full minute before drinking, cooking, bathing, showering and brushing teeth until further notice.
