CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A precautionary boil water advisory was lifted Friday for about 75 West Virginia American Water customers along Mill Creek Road from Route 114 to Windsor Drive, as well as Windsor Drive, according to a WVAW news release.

The advisory followed a series of main breaks which caused a water storage tank to drain. Crews repaired the leaks, and the water level in the tank has been restored. Customers will be alerted through the media.

Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards. Therefore, there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption.
