Car Hits Building in South Charleston, Driver Hospitalized

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman is in the hospital after her car hit a building in South Charleston.

The accident was reported just after 8 a.m. Wednesday along MacCorkle Avenue.

South Charleston Police tell WSAZ.com the driver was headed east when she says another driver ran her off the road and caused her to hit a utility pole and a brick building.

The building was vacant, but the driver was taken to the hospital.

No word on the extent of her injuries.
