CHESAPEAKE, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Chesapeake Police are telling folks to keep their vehicles empty after several cars were recently broken into.

Police say thieves stole money and medication from cars parked in the area of 135th-138th streets. They say no electronics were stolen.

Police also say there have been attempts steal AEP copper ground wire in the Venable Avenue area. They say they found evidence of someone trying to cut wire from the ground.

If anyone notices suspicious activity in those areas, they're asked to give police a call.
