CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A construction contract to fix deteriorating Overbrook Road was approved Monday night by Charleston City Council.
The road is falling down a hill, causing Charleston crews to close the road to all traffic.
Council members approved a construction contract that will fix both Overbrook Road and nearby Lilly Drive.
Crews will begin pouring retaining walls to prevent the road from slipping. Construction is expected to last about 10 weeks.
Lilly Drive will be open during the construction, while Overbrook Road will be closed for the duration of the project.
