Charleston Man Facing Several Charges Including Malicious Wounding

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A night of crime has put Ronald Kay III of Charleston in jail.

The incident began Tuesday night when Kay was at a Charleston nightclub and stole an iPhone and some cash.

Shortly after that, he went to Angela Shumate's apartment and threatened to set her and her apartment on fire if she cheated on him.

According to the criminal complaint, Kay follow Shumate to her son's apartment.

When they arrived, Kay got into an argument with Dale Warner.

Kay threw a brick at Warner, striking him on the side of his face, which caused him to fall down.

Rodney Moles was trying to help Warner get up, when Kay threw a brick at him, which struck him in the back of the head.

Police say Warner and Moles suffered minor injuries.
