Two Arrested in Robbery Case on Charleston's West Side

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men have been arrested in connection to a robbery case in Charleston.

Police tell WSAZ.com, Darius Rose and Grant Patterson went to a home on Livingston Avenue.

Police say they robbed two men. During the incident police say Rose and Patterson pistol whipped the victims.

One of the men suffered severe cuts to his head that needed to be treated with 10 staples, according to the complaint. The other man received several cuts to his head.

Police say during the incident Patterson shot himself in the foot. He was treated and released from his injury.

Patterson used crutches to walk into his arraignment at Kanawha County Magistrate Court. He was charged with 1st degree robbery and Rose has been charged with malicious wounding.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men face charges after a fight that started as a robbery happened on Charleston's west side.

Investigators say two men arrived at CAMC Women and Children's Hospital about 2 a.m. Wednesday claiming they had been robbed and beaten.

About the same time, police officers on the city's west side began following a car that had wrecked but was also heading toward the same hospital.

When the car arrived, officers say they found a man shot in the foot.

Police say they believe the two were fighting when the gun went off and shot the man in the foot.

Investigators say both men, including the one shot in the foot will be charged with first degree robbery and malicious wounding. Both men will be arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court within the next hour.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police in Charleston are investigating a complex story involving two men who claimed to have been beaten and two other men who are described as suspects, including one who had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Investigators say two men arrived at CAMC Women and Children's Hospital about 2 a.m. Wednesday claiming they had been robbed and beaten. About the same time, police officers on the city's west side began following a car that had wrecked but was also heading toward the same hospital.

When the car arrived, officers say they discovered that one of the men in the car was suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot that was determined to be self-inflicted.

According to investigators, none of the men will cooperate with police.
