CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston Police on Wednesday night raided a home in the 900 block of Orchard Street in connection with shootings that happened Tuesday on the city's West Side.
Justin Davis, one of two men charged in connection with the West Side shootings, lived in the house.
Neighbors have complained about loud noises and drug activity in the area. Police found shell casing on the property that have tentatively matched those from Tuesday's shootings.
They also found an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and various bullets.
Police said Justin Davis, one of the suspects arrested on Tuesday, lived at the house.
According to police, a woman who lives at the home was not cooperating with the investigation, but the landlord was being cooperative.
"You don't know if you're going to get shot at when you come out. You don't know what kind of people these people are bringing into our neighborhood on our small part of the street; and there's a lot of what we think is drug traffic through here that we witness every day," said Tammy Shamblin, a neighbor.
"Those complaints match what we found inside and what was in plain view in the driveway so proves that the connection we need with the community is very strong," said Lt. Shawn William with the Charleston Police Department.
