CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Barlow Drive in Charleston will be closed for extended times Thursday and Friday as repairs are made, according to the city's Street Department.

Officials say the work will be done to try to repair the road after an intense winter.

Construction will take place between 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Emergency vehicles will be allowed to use the road during the construction, but all other vehicles will be forced to use Keystone Drive from Greenbrier Street as a detour.
