MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) -- Martinsburg is dealing with unexpected complications as it prepares for the semifinals of the state high school boys basketball tournament.

Athletic officials say health officials shut down a Charleston motel where the team was staying on Thursday because of concerns about methamphetamine contamination.

West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission executive director Gary Ray says that authorities discovered a meth lab at the motel several months ago.

Martinsburg coach Dave Rogers says that four players who stayed in one of the affected rooms weren't allowed to retrieve their belongings.

Team officials bought personal clothing for the players.

Rogers says junior varsity uniforms will be brought from Martinsburg for Friday night's game against George Washington.

A state health department spokeswoman didn't immediately return a telephone message.
