Charleston's National Night Out to Help Fight Crime

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston, along with about 15,000 other cities across the United States, took part Tuesday in the 30th Annual National Night Out.

The Charleston Police Department came out in force in several neighborhoods to promote safety, awareness and working together as a community.

"Here's the deal. It's very important for us to have a good relationship with the community," said Errol Randle with the Charleston Police Department. "As the department moves forward with the Chief's mandate on customer service, this is so important."
