KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The owner of a logging company who illegally took trees out of a Kanwaha County Park and sold them can either pay-up or face a civil lawsuit.
Thursday night Kanawha County Commissioners approved the plan was sent to Commissioners last month by members of the Parks & Recreation Board.
The plan provides a one-time offer to logger Dave Bowen to pay the County $150,000 to pay for damage when he illegally cut-down and sold trees from the park.
If Bowen chooses not to accept the offer the Kanawha County Attorney will file a lawsuit.
