Community Rallies Behind Neighbor with Childhood Cancer

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A community will rally this weekend for one of its own fighting a battle with cancer.

Trey Roy is just 7 years old and has leukemia.

This weekend, you can help cheer him on in the fight.

During the fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 8, folks will gather at St. Albans High School for a basketball game dedicated to Trey and his family. It will help with medical expenses and promote awareness of childhood cancer.

In addition to the action on the court by the Second Grade All Star Basketball Team, local businesses have donated raffle items to be auctioned off.

The event begins at 5 p.m. Saturday.
