CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A convicted felon was arrested Monday at a Charleston home after he was found with drugs and a gun.

Eric Toon was arrested by Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies.

Deputies say the sheriff's Tactical Operations Patrol Team followed up on tips received through the department's meth tip line.

Information from the line indicated Toon was involved in the drug trade and was operating at a house along Roane Street.

Deputies obtained a search warrant at the house and found a pistol along with some marijuana.

Toon was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

He was taken to the South Central Regional Jail.
