CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Four children were found alone and living in deplorable conditions, now a man and woman are facing charges.
Kalisa Powell is charged with child neglect creating risk of injury.
She arrested Friday morning after the couple's infant, three-year-old, six-year-old and eight-year-old were found alone at their home on Marianna Street in Charleston.
Officers say there was food, trash and dog feces all over the house.
The kids said they didn't know where their parents were. They also said they hadn't eaten since Thursday at school.
Police are looking for the children's father Carlos Powell in connection with the case.
