UPDATE: Westbound I-64 Lanes Reopen in South Charleston Area

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The westbound lanes of Interstate 64 are reopen Wednesday night at the scene of an earlier crash between a car and a tractor-trailer, Metro 911 dispatchers said.

They said a car went under a tractor-trailer, and two people were taken to the hospital.

The extent of the victims' injuries was unknown.

The accident was reported about 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson Road exit, which is at the 54-mile marker.

The tractor-trailer was hauling meat.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The westbound lanes of Interstate 64 are closed Wednesday night near the Jefferson Road exit in South Charleston because of an accident between a tractor-trailer and another vehicle, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

The accident was reported about 8 p.m. Wednesday. It is at the 54-mile marker. The tractor-trailer was hauling meat.

There is no word on injuries.
