KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says deputies have arrested two heroin dealers from Detroit.
Deputies say following a month-long investigation, the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office STOP Team executed search warrants at two apartments in Jefferson Sunday night.
Keival L. Kelley, 29, of Detroit, and Steven Walker, 38, of Detroit, were both arrested.
Kelley is charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver.
Walker is charged with possession of heroin with intent to deliver. A pistol and ammunition were also found in his apartment.
Local investigations are contacting the US Attorney's Office to determine if federal charges will be filed against Walker, due to prior felony convictions.
Heroin was found in one of the apartments.
Deputies say in the past couple of years, heroin has made a "ferocious entrance" in Kanawha County and has led to multiple overdoses, some fatal.
Both men are being held in the South Central Regional Jail on $25,000 bonds.
