Three Suspects Sought in Robbery and Shooting Case

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for three people who they say were involved in a robbery that ended in a shooting.

Deputies say Stephen Humphries, 21, of Nitro was walking on Curtis Lane in the West Dunbar/Institute area to look for his sister when three men came up to him and demanded his wallet. When he refused, one of the three suspects fired a handgun two or three times. One of the bullets hit Humphries in the leg.

Humphries got back to his car and took himself to Thomas Memorial Hospital. He left the scene before anyone got his wallet.

No arrests have been made.
