CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- All lanes of Interstate 79 have reopened after a tractor-trailer wreck caused a diesel spill on the roadway.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.

The crash was reported about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday near the 16-mile marker in the Clendenin area.

CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A tractor-trailer wreck in the southbound lanes of Interstate 79 caused a diesel spill on the roadway Wednesday night, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

It was not immediately known how much fuel spilled. The driver of the truck was not hurt.

Dispatchers say the slow southbound lane is closed in the area. They also say the Clendenin Volunteer Fire Department has the spill secured to keep it out of drains.

Some of the diesel fuel, however, spilled into a nearby creek.

The crash was reported about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday near the 16-mile marker in the Clendenin area. The one lane was expected to be closed until about 11 p.m. Wednesday, as crews continued the cleanup.
