CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Policing the way teachers dress is up for a vote at the next Kanawha County School Board meeting.

Thursday night marked the proposed rules first reading.

The policy would do away with blue jeans, flip-flops and facial piercing at schools.

Teachers would also be required to wear clothing of a certain cut and length.

According to the policy visible tattoos would have to be covered and their hair would be required to be neatly trimmed.

Board will vote on the policy at their next meeting later this month.
