Early Morning Fire Destroys Charleston Home

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters are still trying to figure out what started a house fire on Charleston's west side.

The fire was reported at 5:13 a.m. Thursday at 945 Walnut Street.

Firefighters say when they arrived on scene, flames were shooting from the roof. The house was destroyed.

The fire also damaged a neighboring house.

No one was home at the time of the fire and there was no power to the house.
