CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The driver of a car that crashed early Friday morning has been arrested.
It happened about 5:30 a.m. in the 900-block of Edgewood Drive in Charleston.
Police say the driver clipped two utility poles -- snapping one of them in two pieces.
AEP will have to replace the poles.
The car can't be moved until they replace the poles because it's holding up one of them.
The driver has been arrested and charged with DUI.
The name hasn't been released.
Edgwood Drive is closed between Beech Avenue and Swathmore Road.
No word on when the road will reopen because it could take a while to replace the poles.
