CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Everest Institute in Cross Lanes will be closing.
Corinthian Colleges Inc., parent company of Everest, tells WSAZ.com of their 97 campuses in the U.S., the Cross Lanes campus is one of a dozen now in the "teaching-out" process.
The remaining 85 campuses have been put up for sale.
A spokesman for Corinthian Colleges says the Cross Lanes campus is no longer accepting new students, and current students and staff have been notified of the school's status.
They say the "teaching-out" process will occur during a number of months. Faculty and staff will remain on campus during the process to allow current students to finish their coursework.
About 125 students are enrolled at the Cross Lanes campus. Corinthian Colleges says that number is on the low side of enrollment at their campuses.
