CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Festivall Charleston has become a summer tradition in the Kanawha Valley, but now it is also taking over Halloween.
City leaders announced Tuesday they are launching Festivall Fall. It kicks off on October 25 and continues through October 28.
FestivALL Fall will center around the Halloweast celebration, so you can still expect the Zombie Walk, Main Street Murder Mystery and the costume pub crawl which is expected to become the main costume party in the city.
"We've gotten from both Charlestonians and from visitors, the one thing people have said, um, is can we do this more often you know, can't you do this several times a year? Well, it's not an easy thing to do, but we're going to find out if we can do it twice a year," Larry Groce, Organizer of FestivALL said.
Live on the Levee will also return for the weekend, along with a children's art fair at Capitol Market and a special Mountain Stage performance at the Culture Center.
The original Festivall Charleston will still be held in June.
The details will be released at a news conference at 3 p.m. at the Capitol Market.
According to a news release from the city of Charleston, organizers will announce a new event for this fall. FestivALL Director Larry Groce won't release any details until the news conference.
The leaders of FestivALL Charleston, East End Main Street, the Create West Virginia conference and representatives from Capitol Market will be at the event.
Festivall is a 10-day summertime festival. All the favorites including Wine and All That Jazz, Blues, Brews and BBQ, the Capital Street Art Fair and Smoke on the Water Chili Cook-off are held during that time in June.
WSAZ will be at the news conference.
