UPDATE 11/18/2012 @ 11:30 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The latest suspicious fire on the West Side of Charleston has both fire crews and neighbors very concerned.
A vacant home on the 2600-block of 7th Avenue went up in flames about 10:30 Saturday night. The same home caught fire less than a month ago.
"It's a disturbing trend," Assistant Fire Chief Chris Cooper said. "We don't want anyone to get hurt, especially the general public or our own guys."
Neighbors described hearing loud explosions and feeling their homes shake when the fire started. Firefighters say it destroyed the entire back of the house.
The fire has left neighbors feeling on-edge. "I'm scared to have my son here," Adrianna Cantrell said. "I just had a newborn baby and I'm scared my house will catch on fire."
Firefighters say they were quick to put out the flames Saturday, but a pile of old tires behind the house made it more difficult for them.
