KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two dozen deputies will be patrolling the streets of Kanawha County on Thursday to make sure children stay safe during trick-or-treat.
Trick-or-treat was postponed until Thursday due to Monday night's wintry conditions from Superstorm Sandy.
According to a news release, patrols will be all over the county, especially in places historically prone to Halloween vandalism. Deputies will be out in both marked and unmarked vehicles, as well as on foot.
Deputies say they will have "zero tolerance" for would-be vandals.
