KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The morning commute turned into a rescue effort after a driver got stuck in flood water.
The rescue happened at the Haines Branch exit in Sissonville near the overpass about 6:30 a.m. Friday.
Emergency crews say the vehicle was trapped in the high water and a man and woman had to be rescued from the vehicle.
The driver tells WSAZ.com it was dark and foggy and he didn't see the high water until it was too late.
No one was hurt.
Right now, drivers can't go underneath the overpass at the Haines Branch exit. The road will be closed until water goes down.
