Huntington Man Arrested for St. Albans Home Invasion

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Huntington man has been arrested in connection with an alleged home invasion that happened in St. Albans in December.

St. Albans Police say Huntington Police assisted in the arrest of Cameron Layne, 30, Wednesday evening.

Police say Layne was wanted for a home invasion that happened on Highland Drive in St. Albans on December 23, 2013.

According to police, Layne is accused of forcing his way in to the apartment and shooting at the occupant's dog, while demanding and stealing their prescription medication.

Layne is charged with armed robbery and wanton endangerment. He is being held on $50,000 bond in the Western Regional Jail.

Another man, Robert Farris, 21, of St. Albans, was arrested and charged last month with armed robbery in connection with the crime. He is being held in the South Central Regional Jail.

Police say more arrests are pending.
