Interstate 64 Reopens Following Emergency Power Repairs

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A tractor trailer breakdown on Interstate 64 delayed the closure of Interstate 64 Thursday night for emergency power line repairs.

It happened about 9:00 p.m. just as crews were preparing to temporarily close the interstate between Cross Lanes and Institute. Crews waited until the truck was moved to begin repairs.

Interstate 64 reopened about 11:15 p.m.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- American Electric Power is closing the Westbound and Eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 for emergency line repairs.

West Virginia State Police tell WSAZ.com all lanes between Cross Lanes and Institute will close at 9 p.m. and remain closed for two hours.

West Virginia State Police say to avoid the area if at all possible.
