CHARLESTON, W.Va.(WSAZ) - The Kanawha County board of education is considering holding meetings without using any paper.
This means everything used in and out of the meetings like agendas, calendars, and mail will be put entirely online.
Board officials estimate they spend roughly 25-hundred dollars per person on the amount of paper they use and that this move has been in the works for awhile.
Board member Jim Crawford says this is a move that has been in the works for awhile now.
"Since we are in need of money and we predict a short fall, i just think this is a win win situation for everybody."
Board members say they plan on using their own iPads and computers to do their work.
