CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston's east end is getting dressed with another new business opening.
Magic Makers Costumes, an international retailer, will be opening the doors of it's new location Thursday. The new shop will be located on Charleston's east end.
The company started as a magic shop in Barboursville in 1979, but owner Ken Epperly quickly outgrew the tricks and focused more on making costumes.
Magic Makers Costumes then expanded to a large store in downtown Huntington -- and is the world's largest online costume retailer.
"This fills an absolute void in our business district and I fully believe Magic Makers will experience much success with the unique products they offer," said Ric Cavender, Executive Director of East End Main Street. "We are very excited to work with Ken to see it become a true destination for parties, costumes, and holidays in the City of Charleston."
The expansion is something Epperly and store manager Darius Sigmon are very excited about.
"We're very happy and pleased to set up shop in the East End and believe we can continue our great success as the premiere costume provider in the state of West Virginia," said owner Ken Epperly.
A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m.
