SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Sissonville will be arraigned on charges Friday after investigators say he hit a building with his vehicle and took off.
According to the criminal complaint, Terrence Shrewsbury, 33, of Sissonville, drove into the United States Post Office in Sissonville just before 2 a.m. Friday -- and then took off.
The vehicle crashed through a wooden fence and then hit the front left side of the building knocking out a window and brick foundation, according to the complaint.
Deputies say just shortly after the incident, Shrewsbury and his car were located at his home on Carney Lane. Shrewsbury later confessed to hitting the Post Office, according to the complaint.
Shrewsbury has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident that caused property damage.
He will be arraigned on the charges Friday morning in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, the man drove into the Post Office just before 2 a.m. Friday.
They told WSAZ.com the man ran from the scene before he was arrested.
His name and the charges he faces haven't been released.
The Sheriff's Department said information would be released later Friday morning.
