KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted two women, Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies say.
Gerald Maxwell was charged with two counts of malicious wounding, according to the criminal complaint.
Deputies say Maxwell assaulted his girlfriend in August of 2013, causing her to have a possible broken jaw and a swollen face.
Also, deputies say Maxwell allegedly assaulted the mother of his child on March 15 of this year.
The criminal complaint reports that Maxwell punched and choked her and lit a cigarette on her body and burned her.
He was taken to the South Central Regional Jail. Bond was set at $50,000.
