KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A search is on for a man who police say left the building where his preliminary hearing was going to be held after he found out another warrant was issued for him.

Jason Payne had a preliminary hearing set Wednesday for two felony offenses.

While he was there, South Charleston Police learned he had a warrant out of Kanawha County for a motion to revoke probation with no bond.

As officers were trying to get a copy of the warrant so they could serve it, Payne caught on and took off.

He is known to live in the Fayette County area, as well.

If you see Payne or have any information, you are asked to call police or 911.
