NEW INFO: Man Stabbed in Throat; Name Released

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people were hurt over the weekend at a popular party spot in Northern Kanawha County.

Deputies say Claude Hensley got into a fight with a man in Blue Creek near Elkview, early Sunday morning.

Hensley tried to leave when the man punched him in the face several times and then cut his throat.

Hensley was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Robert West was also taken to the hospital after he was attacked by several people at the same party.

No arrests have been made at this time.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was stabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning at a popular partying and drinking spot near Elkview.

Metro 911 said he was stabbed in the throat at the "Pipeline" off of Blue Creek Road about 1:30 in the morning.

He was taken to CAMC, but his condition remains unknown at this time.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department has not released any information on any arrests.
