ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday on drug charges in connection with an active meth lab found at a motel, according to information from St. Albans Police.
Mylissa Jennings Messer, 29, originally of Hurricane, W.Va., and Jason M. Racer, 31, of St. Albans, both were charged with attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab and conspiracy. Messer is on probation for two counts of computer fraud, police say.
Officers say the room the suspects had been in was condemned at the El Rancho Motel. An adjacent room also was condemned. One person in that other room was displaced.
Technicians with the Metro Drug Unit helped recover evidence and dispose of meth-making materials.
The incident was reported about 12:35 p.m. Wednesday.
