Man and Woman Arrested in Robbery in St. Albans

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man and a woman were arrested Monday in connection with a robbery that happened Saturday along Washington Avenue near Sycamore Street, according to a news release from the St. Albans Police Department.

Trellae D. Toney, 20, of Charleston, was charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Ashley Nicole Clark, 31, of St. Albans, was charged with accessory before the fact to commit armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

The victim said a man held him at gunpoint while another man searched his car. He said it happened after he had given Clark a ride. He said the men approached him, and one of them had a handgun.

The victim said he was looking at Clark's Facebook page later and noticed a photo of one of the men who confronted him. Toney was identified through that photo by St. Albans Police investigators.

The identity of the second man has not been confirmed yet. The investigation is continuing.
