Man Taken to Hospital after Being Hit by Truck in Kanawha County

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was taken to a local trauma center Tuesday evening after being hit by a truck in the Sanderson area, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

It happened about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Sanderson Road.

Crews at the scene said Matthew Cavalier, 20, was riding his bicycle off of a dirt road onto Sanderson Road when he was hit by the truck.

Cavalier was alert and conscious when crews arrived.
