ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police say they have arrested an Ohio man for allegedly stealing copper wire from CSX.
Troopers say Corey L. Murphy, 27, of Stout, Ohio, was pulled over during a traffic stop along U.S. 23 near Lloyd Monday afternoon.
After Stout stopped his car, he jumped out and took off on foot, but was quickly captured by the trooper.
Inside his car, KSP says they found more than 200 pounds of copper wire that belonged to CSX in Huntington.
Murphy has been charged with possession of burglary tools, fleeing and evading and receiving stolen property. He is being held in the Greenup County Detention Center.
