More Than 1,800 AEP Customers without Power in W.Va.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- More than 1,800 people are without power Wednesday night in central and southern West Virginia, according to AEP’s website.

As of 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, 789 customers in Logan County did not have electricity. In Kanawha County, there were 478 customers without power. Meanwhile, in Clay County, 603 people were without electricity.

The website does not indicate a cause or when power will be restored, but scattered thunderstorms developed in those areas earlier Wednesday.
